A motorist heading North on Highway 21 lost his life in a collision with an 18-wheeler around 8 a.m. Tuesday, June 28.
According to officials on the scene a single male driving a white Jaguar attempted to pass a silver Nissan Maxima on Highway 21 in front of Fountain Prison when he was met head-on by the truck. The driver of the Maxima, a woman traveling alone, was transported to Atmore Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the 18-wheeler was unharmed.
