WILMER, Ala.) - On her property Ann Bunch owns a few horses, but she had a favorite, "They knew exactly what they were doing because they picked this horse instead of the other ones," said Bunch.
It was her beloved show horse they called "Mouse," with a Jesus fish branded into it's hind quarter Bunch says it was no ordinary animal.
Mouse was a top prize winning horse worth $25,000.
Footprints and hoof marks in the dirt showed the path of a thief says Bunch, someone who crept onto her property last night and led her horse astray.
It's clear she says the animal couldn't have escaped on it's own, "She did not break out, she she did not run away, she was stolen."
With her top horse gone, Bunch is seething but beyond that she's also got a message for whoever stole her favorite animal.
"Back in the old days horse thieves were hung and as far i as know the laws has never been changed and that's exactly what needs to happen," said Bunch.
The animal was wearing a hot pink halter harness on its head, if you have any information you're asked to call the Mobile Co. Sheriff's office or Ann Bunch at 251-645-0036 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 251-645-0036 end_of_the_skype_highlighting.
