(AP)FLORIDA - The National Hurricane Center is reporting that the first tropical depression of the 2011 Eastern Pacific hurricane season has formed and could become a tropical storm within the next few days.

The center said Monday morning that the storm in the eastern Pacific Ocean was about 365 miles (587 km) south of Acapulco, Mexico, with maximum sustained winds of 30 mph. It is moving northwest at about 3 mph and is expected to strengthen in the next day or so.

No coastal warnings or watches have been issued.
