MONTGOMERY, Alabama -- Faulkner University announced today that general admission tickets to hear former President George W. Bush speak on Oct. 6 will go on sale June 28 at 8 a.m.
Bush will serve as the keynote speaker for Faulkner's 2011 Annual Benefit Dinner, which will be held at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel and Spa Convention Center.
While in office, Bush created the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives to help faith-based institutions provide services in local areas. Since then, Faulkner, a Christian university, created its STARS program, which requires all students to perform 160 hours of service-learning in the form of mentoring or volunteer work before graduation.
General admission tickets are $200 each and include dinner.
Proceeds from the dinner will go towards student scholarships. For more information, contact Faulkner's office of University Advancement at (334) 386-7257 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting (334) 386-7257 end_of_the_skype_highlighting or visit www.faulkner.edu.
