Auburn players received their national championship rings Sunday night. The one on the right was an early popular choice. AUBURN, Alabama -- Auburn football players have been tweeting about the rumored arrival of their national championship rings for awhile now.
Sunday night, they finally got them.
It's taken awhile for the rings to be presented, as in the 160 days since Auburn beat Oregon 22-19 for the BCS championship in Arizona. But the players were rewarded for their wait in a team meeting at the Auburn athletic complex. There appears to be a BCS title ring and another national championship ring. The players also received their SEC championship rings.
The Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers got their rings Thursday night after a 133-day wait.
