ATHENS, Ala. (AP) - Authorities investigating 53 complaints of theft by the owner of Limestone Furniture Mart in Athens say they don't know what happened to the money.
Investigators arrested 36-year-old owner Scott Connell on Wednesday.
Chief Investigator Capt. Stanley McNatt says Connell is charged with five counts of first-degree theft and one count of second-degree theft in connection with undelivered furniture worth $60,000.
McNatt says orders ranged from $75 to $4,000.
Connell remains in the Limestone County Jail, where the Limestone County Community Corrections Program has placed a hold on him.
