Woman survives 49 days in the wilderness

OWYHEE COUNTY, NV (CNN) - A 56-year-old woman beat the odds by surviving the wilderness for a month-and-a-half.
Rita Chretien and her husband, Al, were heading to Las Vegas when their vehicle got stuck at a remote spot in Oregon. According to a note Rita wrote, the vehicle's battery died and was out of gas.
Al Chretien left on foot, trying to get help, but never returned. Rita Chretien rationed the little food she had left and waited for someone to see her.
Forty-nine days later, a group of hunters found her. She was hospitalized and has been recovering.
Al Chretien's whereabouts remain a mystery.
