Tide shut out again by Maddux, er, Randall

HOOVER, Alabama - The name is Hudson Randall. The game is ... who? What? How? "He's Greg Maddux," Alabama coach Mitch Gaspard said of the artful Florida starter who shut the seventh-seeded Crimson Tide down Thursday in the second round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament.
For the second time this season, Randall (9-3) shut Alabama out. This time, he held the Tide (33-25) to four hits in eight innings as the third-seeded Gators (43-15) won 6-0 at Regions Park.
Alabama will meet second-seeded Arkansas at 3 p.m. today in a losers' bracket game. Florida will enjoy a day off before it plays Saturday. It will meet the winner of today's game between Georgia and Thursday night's South Carolina-Vanderbilt loser.
Randall, a sophomore right-hander, isn't known for flame-throwing. Neither was Maddux, who primarily with the Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs won 355 games in a 23-year
