Integrity Media Lays Off Workers; Puts Headquarters up for Sale

 MOBILE, Ala.) - Christian music firm Integrity Media in West Mobile laid off several workers Friday and has put it's multi-million dollar campus up for sale.

The company says the cuts were difficult but necessary.

Shannon Walker, with Integrity Media, declined an interview, but she pointed to drops in CD sales. There has already been a 9 percent drop in 2011.

The decrease in CD sales and increasing digital music sales have forced Integrity to rethink it's business model.

Walker says Mobile will continue to be the company's corporate home, but she would not say how many employees Integrity has laid off.
