GULF SHORES, Alabama — The crowd jamming the second Hangout Music Festival seemed to stay until the very end.
The sun began to set Sunday as Ohio rockers The Black Keys took the stage to a roar and a wave of outstretched arms that seemed to spread across the entire beachfront.
A little while later, headliner Paul Simon grabbed his guitar on the main stage at precisely 9 p.m., and just a few songs in, declared it “a beautiful night.”
Indeed, the 3-day festival rollicked through the afternoon and evening Sunday, despite a false warning of rapture, fans dancing in the heat of the last day
