MONROE COUNTY, Alabama -- Monroe County authorities are investigating a helicopter crash that occurred sometime today, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office. Chief Deputy Terry Beasley said that four helicopters were headed to Tuscaloosa when one crashed just west of the Alabama River in Monroe County, not far from the Clarke County line.
