Help being rushed to Tuscaloosa, other damaged areas

Personnel and equipment are being rushed to tornado ravaged cities like Tuscaloosa where reports indicate many people have died in Wednesday's tornado outbreaks. 
The city of Montgomery is working with Emergency Management and Homeland Security on a response. The city's response from the Department of Public Safety includes a 10-man heavy rescue unit (Rescue 75), 10-12 Fire vehicles, including mules, and activation of 6 DHS-trained police officers. A 10-man HAZMAT unit from Fire is on standby. The city says any and all assistance will be made available.
The city of Prattville announced it was sending 6 pieces of fire equipment and ten people to Tuscaloosa.
The Alabama Emergency Management Agency has made a request of various local ambulance companies for assistance. Dennis Blair with the Alabama Department of Public Health say the companies are being extremely helpful.  Companies from Mobile, Dothan, Opelika, Montgomery and other cities are responding to the call and will send ambulances north to areas like Cullman, Tuscaloosa and Hamilton. There are reports that a local ambulance company in Hamilton was hit by the storms.  The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services out of Jackson, Miss. is responding. The organization says it has mobilized 10 feeding units, and another 22 units are on stand by including a full service field kitchen capable of making 20,000 meals per day.
Auburn fans are returning the favor to arch rival Alabama fans who rallied in the days after the historic Toomer's Corner trees were poisoned. "Tide for Toomer's" exploded on Facebook in the days after the Auburn incident. Within hours, "Toomer's for Tuscaloosa" was boasting nearly 10,000+ fans.
